Abstract

In the constantly changing world of the labor market, differences between generations are becoming increasingly apparent—this is especially true for Generation Z, who, as children of the digital age, are entering the world of work with a completely different outlook than their predecessors. Those born between 1995 and 2009 are not only natural users of technological devices, but also bring new expectations to the workplace. They are often criticized for being less loyal and difficult to integrate into traditional work cultures – but are these assumptions justified? Based on personal experience and questionnaire-based research, this thesis aims to present the factors that influence Generation Z’s attitude toward work, how they are perceived by previous generations, and what tools can be used to promote effective intergenerational cooperation. The topic is particularly relevant as Generation Z is becoming the dominant group of workers today, making it essential to understand them for successful workplace integration and cooperation.
