Introduction
The 10th issue of the 2025 Hungarian Quality journal focuses on current organizational and management issues that take the concept of quality beyond the traditional methodological interpretation and examine it in the context of organizational operation, adaptability and value creation. The common feature of the studies published in the issue is that quality is interpreted as a complex approach, at the intersection of leadership, culture and operational processes.
The opening study of the issue is the work of Zsuzsanna Nemes, which examines the issue of managerial bottlenecks in the growth phase of small and medium-sized enterprises from the perspective of generational cooperation. The quality management approach of the study points out that the quality of intergenerational cooperation is not only a human policy issue, but also a determining factor in organizational learning and adaptability.
The relationship between operational excellence and sustainability is analyzed in a study by Henriett Károlyi and Anna Dunay, which compares the adaptation of lean management across industries in the manufacturing and service sectors. The authors demonstrate that although the principles of lean are universal, their practical application is highly context-dependent and increasingly linked to sustainability and ESG expectations.
The study by Szilárd Malatyinszki and Tímea Tóth focuses on the issue of regional value creation and customer value, which examines the development opportunities of rural tourism through a specific case study. The analysis highlights how a customer value-based approach can contribute to strengthening regional competitiveness and sustainable development.
The issue is concluded with an article by Zoltán Lovász, which analyzes the issue of prudential data quality in the Hungarian banking system from an ontological and diagnostic perspective. The study emphasizes that data quality is not just a technical issue, but an integral part of regulatory compliance, risk management and quality culture.
With its diverse selection of topics and unified approach, this issue of Magyar Minőség sends the message that quality is not an isolated methodological issue these days, but a way of thinking that permeates the entire organizational operation. We trust that the presented studies will not only represent a theoretical contribution, but also encourage our readers to practical reflection and professional dialogue.
We wish you a pleasant and thought-provoking read!
