Abstract

The study examines the connection points between scientific ethics and copyright, with particular attention to the principles formulated in the Code of Scientific Ethics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the domestic legal framework. The aim of the research is to explore how ethical norms and copyright regulations contribute to strengthening scientific integrity and publication reliability. The study is based on secondary source analysis, which includes a review of relevant ethical codes, relevant legislation, and research ethics literature, typification of norm violations, and identification of legal guarantees. The results highlight that research ethics violations are diverse, but copyright regulations and ethical regulations complement each other to ensure the purity of scientific life. Legal guarantees serve to protect scientific works, while ethical norms aim to strengthen researcher responsibility, contributing to the development of fair publication practices. The study concludes that an integrated approach to ethical principles and legal instruments promotes researcher autonomy, strengthens trust in the scientific community, and ensures the credibility and reliability of science in the long term.
