Abstract
The pandemic period has brought about transformations in everyday life, transforming it, which has necessitated a digital reform. A multitude of innovations have emerged in all parts of the world, which have gradually been incorporated into education. This study examines the digital transformation of African education in the light of social, economic and technological developments. The study is a qualitative analysis based on secondary sources, based on international literature and African education strategies. Following the principles of the State-of-the-art review, in contrast to other combined retrospective and other approaches, the article deals with more current issues in the field, reviews current events and tries to present a new perspective. The results show that the introduction of digital tools and the spread of e-learning platforms contribute to increasing the accessibility of education, although significant infrastructural and human challenges remain. The research concludes that technological development can play a key role in reducing educational inequalities on the continent in the long term, if digitalization strategies are adapted to local specificities and social needs.
