Abstract

The results of the research highlight that the pandemic has had a significant impact on the economic situation of gyms and the fitness sector. Gyms faced a number of economic challenges that significantly affected their revenues and costs. Nevertheless, analysis of consumer behavior showed that despite the pandemic and price increases, many people decided to return or would like to return to gyms. New consumer behavior, especially among younger age groups, is bringing online training programs and fitness apps to the forefront, while middle-aged generations prefer more traditional forms of exercise and personalized services. The research emphasizes the importance of innovation and adaptation in difficult times. In order to increase the competitiveness of gyms and ensure post-crisis recovery, it is important to improve customer safety and comply with hygiene regulations. In addition, the development of online and digital services is also key. Based on the research data, it is essential to continuously monitor consumer needs and expectations in order to develop a successful strategy. Overall, the demand for physical activity has remained strong among the population, which indicates a positive outlook for the fitness sector.
